Pretty pissed off right now. I had a moving blanket wrapped around the rear strut bar I purchased some time ago, of course not installed yet, and as I pulled the blanket off, the strut bar got caught up in it and spun... even though I made a point of standing between it and my car it got past me and carved a lovely scratch into my bumper... bringing about a whole schlew of F bombs.
Tried the scratch remover, that was a no go, it's just a little too deep. The scratch is probably about an inch and a half long, it isn't all that deep at all, but it is deep enough that I can't buff it out on my own without damaging the surrounding area.
It is one of those things that most people probably wouldn't notice but I'm a perfectionist about my car so I'm pretty pissed off about it.
Anyone know of a reliable body shop that won't bend me over the proverbial couch?

What about Dingmans? Are they any good? Or that one down by the Bellevue walmart? They are huge, but I know that doesn't mean much...

I'm going to try to buff that Forking scratch out on my own first, if that doesn't work I'll take it into a collision place.

Well, I did some work on it today. I got out an old camo stick from my infantry days, and filled in the scratches so I could see them... Then I used 2000 grit sandpaper and wet sanded the area for awhile, then used liquid scratch remover to smooth the area. It looks a little bit better but there is one line that won't come out. I still may have to get some professional work done on it.
